About RF Photography
RF PHOTOGRAPHY - by Ralph Fontelar
Welcome to my page everyone and welcome to the world that I portray through my Camera and it’s lenses.
My first experience with a camera came in late 2008, where digital SLR’s only started to become popular on a consumer level. Back then I already had a sheer obsession with ‘freezing time’ per se and capturing & creating everlasting memories. I had then saved enough money to buy my very first dSLR which was a Canon EOS 50D and I have never looked back since.
During the early stages of my photography, I would take photos of anything and everything, making sure that I would improve my style and technique on the next shot. As time went by, I was already developing my own style of photo.
By mid-2010 I was already shooting at the HWY inn and The Belair Hotel (where I shot events such as fashion shows, Masterchef Cook-offs and many other events) as well as other freelance events such as birthdays and other parties.
It was in February of 2011 where I landed my first major gig where I was to do the photography for the DJ Havana Brown concert at the City Nightclub. Since then I have been in the nightclub scene where I have worked at various places such as The City Nightclub (as mentioned), Heaven (current), The Victoria Hotel, Live, LIQWD and Savvy’s (Current).
My time behind the camera has allowed me to work with the likes of; DJ Havana Brown, Ashley Roberts (Pussycat Dolls), Israel Cruz, Timomatic, DJ Dainjazone (LMFAO’s DJ), Groove Terminator, DJ Babeydrew (Chris Browns DJ) and YouTube stars, KevJumba, Nigahiga, Andrew Garcia (American Idol), Jayesslee, D-pryde and Maribelle Anes.
The list will hopefully go on.
Currently my projects consist of weddings, birthdays, engagements, personal photoshoots, nightclub photography and fashion photoshoots. Please see the events section to see RF photography’s upcoming projects and I hope you will stay tuned with my work. There are exciting times ahead!
